The vanilla beans used in this small batch pure vanilla extract are grown and cured in Ecuador. Surprisingly, the beans for this extract are not Planifolia but Tahitensis vanilla beans. This is very unusual in that almost all Tahitensis variety vanilla beans are grown in the South Pacific.
